Maged Ghali, P. Eng., M. Eng.
President and CEO
Mr. Ghali received his Civil Engineering degree from McGill University, Canada, in 1975 and his master’s degree from the University of Calgary, Alberta, in 1992. Mr. Ghali founded MGA Engineering in 1996 and has developed the company to be one of the most well-respected specialty engineering consulting firms in Alberta.
Mr. Ghali is a hands-on engineer with 44 years of solid background in multi-disciplinary projects, well recognized by clients and colleagues for his innovative and cost-effective approach to design. He is eagerly involved in the design and supervision of all aspects of MGA's engineering work. Mr. Ghali has specialized knowledge in API 650/620 tanks, crushing plants, shiploaders, high capacity conveyors, stacker-reclaimers, and large span structures.
Dr. Sherief Sharl Sakla, PhD, P. Eng., P.E.

Dr. Sakla received his Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree from El-Mansoura University, Egypt, in 1989, his Master of Applied Science degree from the University of Windsor, Ontario, in 1993, and his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering (Structures) from the University of Windsor, Ontario, Canada, in 1997. Dr. Sakla has extensive experience in the planning, design and supervision of heavy industrial and commercial projects. His expertise covers broad aspects of the design and construction of structural systems, including reparation and rehabilitation.
Since 1990, Dr. Sakla has been involved in Academia on a part-time basis for universities throughout the world, teaching graduate and undergraduate courses, including theory of structures, structural steel design, concrete design, foundation design, finite element analysis and structural stability.
